London Fashion Week is over, and one of the biggest 2019 Spring/Summer trends has me shook. I’m not talking about all the 90s fashion making a comeback, I’m talking about models strutting down the catwalk with no make up on.
Why is this a big deal? Because historically, the catwalk has always had outrageous versions of new makeup trends – metallics, colour pops, winged eyeliner – it all came from the catwalk! So what does this move tell us? Well, time to start looking after your skin! I’ve uploaded my daily skincare routine to give you an idea (keep in mind that what works for me may not necessarily work for you). But other than skincare, how can we keep on board with the no-makeup trend on a daily basis? I’ve compiled a few looks to give you some variety during this bare-faced time…
Brows on Fleek – brows frame your face so it’s no wonder that almost every bare-faced model had impeccable eyebrows! To keep this quick, I use Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Sculpting Crayon & Setting Gel. It’s small, easy to use and perfect for doing your brows on the go. It’s also got great staying power – I wore this to a full day of work, and my eyebrows were still in place after a gym session towards the end of the day.

Eyes are the Windows to the Soul – if I’m feeling fancy, I might add some khol to my eyes, just to give them some depth. If I’m feeling even fancier, a subtle cat eye might win out. My favourite product for on-the-go application is the Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner Pen as it allows me to keep control over my wings, even on the underground.

Making a Statement – I like to add a pop of colour to my lips, whether it’s a bright red or subtle pink, I find that a touch of lipstick really ties everything together. My current favourite is the NYX Lip Lingerie Nude Matte Liquid Lipstick – shade 17 is my perfect nude, what’s yours?

The best way to wear a no-makeup look is with confidence. Love your skin, love your face, love yourself! But if you want to add something a bit different, any of the above is a scaled down way to add some variety to your look.
